FAQ

IS ATLAS ENFORCEMENT ENFORCEMENT LEGAL?

We work with car park monitoring partners to ensure vehicles are complying with car parking terms and conditions. Atlas Enforcement has been engaged by the car park owner to act as an agent to issue non-compliance breach notices.

IS THIS WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF NEW ZEALAND LAW?

Yes. Private non-compliance breach notices are enforceable under laws relating to contracts and the consent given to parking on private property.

I DIDN'T SEE ANY SIGNS STATING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE CAR PARK, AND NOW I HAVE RECEIVED A BREACH NOTICE?

Signage at our car parks is very prominent and clearly worded.

I WANT TO APPEAL A BREACH NOTICE?

We handle all issues relating to reviews, complaints and queries about the issuing of a non-compliance breach notice. Each person is treated with respect and sensitivity regarding their particular situation. Genuine parkers are never penalized by us.

IS THE ENFORCEMENT OF CAR PARKING ON PRIVATE LAND GOVERNED BY A CODE OF PRACTICE?

Our enforcement complies with the 'Code of Practice for Parking Enforcement on Private Land'. This Code summarises best practice for enforcement on private land, including signage, breach notices, customer service and appeals.
